OhioHealth Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon Celebrates 9th Anniversary in Dublin, Ohio

DUBLIN, Ohio — The OhioHealth Emerald City Half and Quarter Marathon will celebrate its ninth anniversary when a sold out field of 3,500 runners and walkers participate in 13.1-mile and 6.55-mile events on August 26, 2018.

“The Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon has grown into the ultimate end of summer celebration of the healthy and active lifestyle,” Race Director David Babner. “We are proud to partner with OhioHealth, the City of Dublin and the Dublin Convention & Visitors Bureau to produce an experience that among the best events in Central Ohio.”

This year’s event will once again feature a large team from Team RWB Columbus who will each carry a large U.S. flag during the event. Team RWB is a veteran nonprofit organization whose vision is to increase the connectivity between America’s combat veterans and people in their communities. Team RWB uses exercise as a way to bring people together.

The Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon begins and ends on Perimeter Drive just west of Avery Muirfield Drive at 7:00am on August 26, 2018. The courses wind through Glacier Ridge Metro Park.

The Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon concludes with a free post-race party at Los Jimadores Mexican Grill and featuring complimentary appetizers and complimentary Sauza Tequila margaritas (21 and over). All participants also receive an Official Gender-Specific Event Shirt and Official Finisher's Medal.

The Emerald City Half and Quarter Marathon is produced by M3S Sports, a sports marketing firm that is dedicated to promoting a healthy active lifestyle. M3S Sports also produces the FORE! Miler held in partnership with the Memorial Tournament and the Flying Feather Four Miler on Thanksgiving Day. Both events also attract thousands of runners and walkers to the Dublin area each year.
