Virtual FAQ

What is a virtual race?

A virtual race allows participants to complete their Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon anywhere on the weekend of August 21-23.

You can run your selected distance --  13.1 miles, 6.55 miles or  3.1 miles -- anywhere, be it around your neighborhood, on your favorite running trail or even on a treadmill.

Do I still receive my medal and bib?

Yes. All participants can pick up their race packets -- including Official Event Shirt and Finisher’s Medal -- at Packet Pick Up at Fleet Feet Sports Columbus in Lewis Center between August 16-23, 2020. Those who can’t make it to Packet Pick Up can e-mail to make arrangements for Packet Mailing.

I want to participate virtually! What is my next step?

There is no required action. We will move you to Virtual. Please look for more e-mails with updates.

I am not able to do the event virtually in August. What are my other options?

You can defer to 2021 or donate your entry to the OhioHealth Foundation to benefit the foundation’s OhioHealth Associate Emergency Assistance and OhioHealth Greatest Needs funds, which help OhioHealth associates, caregivers and patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.

If you missed the June 30 deadline to defer or donate your entry, please e-mail and we can assist.

When is Packet Pick Up?

Packet Pick Up for the OhioHealth Emerald City Half & Quarter Marathon will be held August 16-23, 2020 at Fleet Feet Sports Columbus in Lewis Center.

I am not sure where to complete my run or walk. Any suggestions?

In the coming weeks, we will post Byers Auto Virtual Course Maps that feature Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K courses through Central Ohio, including courses in Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks and Columbus City Parks.

How do I post my results?
